Experts from Nepal have called for designing poor-oriented public-private partnership (PPP) model to expedite the growth of agriculture sector of the country.

Speaking at a workshop, organised by Ministry of Agriculture and study Center for Integrated Development, on formulation, discussion and implementation of a national policy on poor-oriented agriculture development in the capital, they also ascribed the absence of implementation of past policies on agriculture to the lack of progress in the agricultural sector. National Planning Commission member Ratneshwor Lal Kayastha said that commercialisation and transformation of agriculture can play pivotal role in alleviating poverty.
