'Wada Na Todo Abhiyan' (WNTA), a campaign of the citizens for reminding Governments of the promises made by them and making them accountable for the same, is recruiting a team to take forward its purpose.

Secretariat Coordinator (Location: Delhi ) is required to develop the road map to achieve the outcomes of the WNTA through advocacy and outreach, and to manage the functioning of the WNTA Secretariat and be the link between the state, national and international sections of WNTA. Postgraduate in any Social Science Discipline with at least 5 years of experience in advocacy and the management of campaigns related to issues of poverty, gender and the marginalized are encouraged to apply. Computer skills and the ability manage finances and accounting independently and fluent in English, Hindi are also desired. Familiarity with other Indian languages is an added advantage.

Media & Communications Officer ( Location: Delhi ) is required to mastermind the external communication of the Campaign and to create effective interfaces between the Campaign and its stakeholders through print, film and web based media. This includes co-ordinating with key partners and co-ordinators of WNTA to articulate its purpose and achievements strategically. To be the Media & Communications Officer, one should be a Postgraduate in Social Science and should have specialized training/certificate in Communications and Mass Media and/or Journalism; or should possess a Masters level degree/diploma in the field of Journalism/Mass media & Communications. Should have at least 3-5 years of experience in the field, with work on poverty, gender and marginalized groups being an added advantage. The WNTA (http://www.wadanatodoabhiyan.net/) was formed in a National Convention of several hundred civil society organisations in November 2004, in solidarity with international coalitions against poverty especially the Global Call Against Poverty (GCAP). WNTA has launched successful campaigns across India, including in the People's Summit Against Poverty in September and the People's Caravan in 2005.
